Detecting that the SIM card has been replaced and automatically performing an Admin Lock prevents the device from being used when an unauthorized SIM card is inserted.

 

When a SIM card change occurs, Operators are notified by an alarm. Operators can unlock the Admin Lock by authenticating the new SIM card.

 

This function can be set per template.

 

Note:

SIM card change is detected immediately for Android, on Synchronization basis for iOS.

 

1. Go to CONFIG > Template and click Create button

2. Turn on SIM Change Detection

Raise Alarm An alarm occurs when a SIM change of a managed device is detected.
Raise Alarm and Send Admin Lock

When a SIM change of a managed device is detected, it automatically performs an Admin Lock on the device. Opeartors can release the Admin Lock by approving the new SIM.

 

Note: Admin Lock is only available for Supervised devices.

 

1. Go to CONFIG > Template and click Create button

2. Turn on SIM Change Detection

Note: Admin Lock is only available for Device Owner Mode devices.
SIM Change Detected Event Clear Condition
Clear Manually Operator can only clear the SIM Change Detected Event on the web console.
Clear Automatically if Authorized SIM reinserted In addition to the above method, inserting the original SIM card clears the SIM Change Detected Event automatically.
